Michelle will offer a unique workshop on Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre
in Elizabethan London.

A signed copy of In the Shadow of the Globe
One 2-hour session, including Shakespeare's formative years; the Burbages
-- London's leading theatrical family; the cultural and social backdrop for
the acting companies at the time; the role of plague and fire; Shakespeare's
love for a mystery; Shakespeare's abandoned family; the fight between Will
Kempe and Will Shakespeare; Shakespeare's role in the Earl of Essex's rebellion
against Queen Elizabeth
Question and Answer period
Fee is $35/teacher (minimum $175), and includes a copy of In the
Shadow
of the Globe for each participant.
NJ teachers can earn professional development credits (courtesy of Murphy
Writing Seminars, LLC, NJ Department of Education Provider #539) for this session—but
even more than that, they’ll develop a new appreciation of Shakespeare’s
own labors of love in playwriting, poetry, passion, and personal ambition.
