English and Drama High School Teacher Sessions

Now booking teacher sessions, on site at your high school, at a time convenient for your English or Drama department, for the coming academic year.

Michelle will offer a unique workshop on Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre in Elizabethan London. Registration required. $35 fee includes:
  • A signed copy of In the Shadow of the Globe
  • One 2-hour session, including Shakespeare's formative years; the Burbages -- London's leading theatrical family; the cultural and social backdrop for the acting companies at the time; the role of plague and fire; Shakespeare's love for a mystery; Shakespeare's abandoned family; the fight between Will Kempe and Will Shakespeare; Shakespeare's role in the Earl of Essex's rebellion against Queen Elizabeth
  • Question and Answer period

Fee is $35/teacher (minimum $175), and includes a copy of In the Shadow of the Globe for each participant.

NJ teachers can earn professional development credits (courtesy of Murphy Writing Seminars, LLC, NJ Department of Education Provider #539) for this session—but even more than that, they’ll develop a new appreciation of Shakespeare’s own labors of love in playwriting, poetry, passion, and personal ambition.

If interested, fill out the form below. I will be in touch via email to set a time and date that is convenient to your faculty members.
